- Cooperated with the Chinese Zion Missionary Association and their “Reed Ministry” to set up the “Deep Grace Fellowship” and meet weekly to shepherd rehabilitated persons and their relatives and friends
- Led by Brother Raymond Chan the “Fringe People” band re-recorded the third cassette tape “Music Notes in the Rainbow”.
- Arranged mutual visits and exchanges between prison ministers in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
- Published the “Monthly Prayer” guide to promote to the church and believers in order to assist them to intercede for the needs of prisoners and prison ministry.
- On the recommendation of the Social Welfare Department, Mr. Wen Yizhuang, a Director of the Association, was awarded the “Meritorious service medal” on New Year’s Day in 1996 in recognition of Kun Sun Association’s continuous contribution to correctional services.
- In the same year, the Association was also awarded a “Commissioner’s certificate of Appreciation” by the Correctional Services Department in recognition of the efforts of the Association in the rehabilitation of prisoners
