2011

Started a hairdressing vocational training programme for young women leaving prisons The HK Christian Kun Sun Association Ltd. officially became a member of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service “Naomi Concept Ltd”  participated in the joint exhibition of social enterprises organized by the Hong Kong Government.

2010

Started ministry at the Lo Wu Correctional Institution (Women) Responding to the continuous increase in the number of foreign prisoners (called ‘Other Nations’ prisoners’, actively developed English and multi-language speaking ministries to serve this group of people. Development of religious classes at the “Hei Ling Chau Correctional Institution” and the “Lai Sun Correctional Institution” Opened the first female hostel to provide a wholistic pastoral home for “repeat offender” female rehabilitated persons.

2009

The KSA office was moved from North Point back to Sham Shui Po, closer to the people that we serve Launched the second KSA women’s Social enterprise project: “The Loving Promise” wedding attire shop.

2008

The “Kun Sun Hostel” Men’s halfway house was established in Sham Shui Po to help rehabilitated persons regain their lives, reconcile with their families and reintegrate into society Recording of worship songs created by prisoners titled “Soar Like Eagles”. Launched a social enterprise for female rehabilitated persons: “Naomi Concept Ltd” garment workshop The Jireh Fund helped KSA to write the “Walking Together Hand in Hand in the Lord” prayer manual for prison ministry.

2007

With the merger of six boys’ and girls’ homes, KSA began to conduct religious classes and visits at Tuen Mun Children’s and Adolescents’ Homes Establishment of a fellowship for rehabilitated persons from a white collar background that was called the ‘No Longer the Same Alumni’

2006

Began ministry at the Castle Peak Bay Immigration Centre Set up the “Blue Sky Worship Team” for rehabilitated persons to worship and share in schools, prisons and churches. Recording of a new song album created by prisoners called ‘On Freedom’s Wing’ Established a social enterprise of renovation services run by male rehabilitation persons called: Great Life Century Limited

2004

The KSA office was moved to North Point City Centre, where the old site of 338 Lai Chi Kok Road was used as the “Onesimus” Integrated Training Program Centre and The Halfway House for newly released male rehabilitated persons. Set up music therapy at the “Siu Lam Psychiatric Treatment Centre”

2003

Expanded the religious classes to Lai Chi Kok Detention Center and Siu Lam Psychiatric Treatment Center (Women’s Ward). Publication of a collection of prison ministry essays titled: “Walking through prison days together” (both theoretical and practical)

2002

In partnership with the Department of Corrections started running the ‘Alpha Course’ for prisoners In conjunction with the Correctional Services Department and the Prison Pastoral Corps, the CD “Prospects” was composed and performed by a number of correctional inmates. Co-organized the “Hong Kong Mediation Centre Elementary Training Course” with the Hong Kong Mediation Centre, combining Christian concepts and criminal mediation

2001

Expanded the Pik Uk Correctional Institution ministry to Cat A. The inauguration ceremony of the Director-General, Pastor Pun Kwok Kwong, was held at the 23rd Anniversary Thanksgiving Meeting Co-produced “The Dawn” Karaoke VCD in partnership with the Correctional Services Department in order to let the public have a deeper understanding of those in prison. The commencement of classes at three new Institutions: The Music Therapy Group at the Pak Sha Wan Correctional Facility; religious class at the Tai Lam Correctional Institution; religious class at the Chi Ma Wan Addiction Treatment Centre
